21 Weeks.... a little over half way there!

How far along? 20 Weeks.....ohhhhhhh we're halfway there ohhhhh oh 

Total weight gain: 8 lbs

Maternity clothes? a few stretchy dresses from target. I feel self conscious about dressing this new body of mine so I found some great options for before and after baby on a budget. 

Stretch marks? so far so good... using Mustela Maternity Stretch Mark Prevention Oil which all spilled out into a zip lock bag on the way back from our trip😂

Sleep: Sleeping good!.... Finally got a pregnancy pillow.... Game changer with keeping my hips aligned .

Best moment this week: Turks and Caicos.... stealing a few dates with my husband and being stress free for a few days... needed it. Now we have been back for over a week and it is hard to play catch up at work and house things but trying to stay afloat. 

Miss Anything? Rum! my favorite type of alcohol... especially in Turks and Caicos... every drink offered is a rum drink and EVERYONE is drinking them.... meh. I had a "Mocktail" it made me feel a little better

Movement: ......as of yesterday YES. 

Food cravings:. food in general.... really hungry all the time. 

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not this week that I noticed. 

Gender: BOY

Labor Signs: No

Symptoms: Feeling good... bigger but good. Accepting my new body... feeling more feminine. Waking up to a bigger belly everyday. Knock on wood but besides severe fatigue in the very beginning I haven't had many issues. Seeing my OB convos go like this "Hi, Bye". Not going back for 6 more weeks to do the glucose test. 

Belly Button in or out? flat... not so deep anymore. 

Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy... I have my moments. Having strep throat 2 weeks ago was really freaking awful. Haven't had strep throat since I was in middle school and of course it happens when Im pregnant and can't drown myself in cold drugs. But I did ask for lidocaine(safe) to gargle to help with the knife like pain ripping down my throat every time I swallowed.  Overall glad to be trying to get back into a workout routine and looking forward to a few more summer trips ahead. 

Looking forward to: Well I am halfway there so I guess it is time to start working on this nursery. I'm thinking closer to July once traveling and other house projects slow down.

Maternity clothes? hair tie trick on jeans/shorts. Honestly always in workout leggings for Barre or scrubs for work.

Sleep: Night shift.... always having a stuffy nose with this allergy season... sleeping as good as expected
Best moment this week: just feeling overly excited/happy about everything right now & the reality that Baby boy is really coming.  I was standing in line at Chipotle and it hit me when I was hanging in line by a dad with 4 kids and something about the scene excited me so much thinking not much longer and I will have my little buddy on my hip and going everywhere with me... even to the line out the door Chipotle trip. Also girls at work pulled out the ultrasound.... that was funny to see him sucking his thumb and moving all around.
Miss Anything? A cold beer at the baseball game that we went to with the work crew. Summer is going to be a bitch. For someone who doesn't drink that often... you really miss when you absolutely can't.
Movement: Fluttering..bahhhh
Food cravings: Honey mustard on anything. 
Anything making you queasy or sick: Marinara sauce.... smell of Mexican food. Chick-Fil-a.

Symptoms: Feeling a bit of what I think is round ligament pain. Random tweaks if I move fast or stretch a certain way. Pulling patients up in bed and having to use my core is a weird feeling. 
Belly Button in or out? flat... not so deep anymore.

Happy or Moody most of the time: HAPPY! House renovations are going down. Currently sick, can't breath, coughing, sore throat. Cried this morning because I couldn't swallow and was just really pissed because I knew I needed to eat something but couldn't because of the pain. 
Looking forward to: Turks and Caicos trip coming up! Everything house related woo! 

17 week bump

Holla at the mess because all we've been doing is slaving to the kitchen remodel 

Bedroom before and after....

Not the best quality of pictures but after living in a spare bedroom that looks like it has barely survived a tornado for the past 6 months while waiting for the time to make our bed frame..we finally  said "screw it" and put together a very cozy room.  Can't wait to have some of our wedding pictures printed to put above our bed:). The stages of this room consisted of wallpaper stripping and ripping carpet out (first few days of living in the house). Sanding the cherry off the floors (renting big boy sander from home depot).... scraping pop-corn ceilings (sanding and patching).... painting walls/ceiling... staining wood floors (polyurethane, sand,  polyurethane) ... a barn door project... a few curse words hanging a light... and BAM... we have arrived.

If you want the best food and presentation ever for your wedding and you plan on getting married in West Virginia.... you absolutely must stop everything you are doing right this moment and check out Fish Hawk Acres. Funniest, nicest, easiest, COOLEST people you will ever meet. Honestly the "buffet" looked like a piece of art. We didn't want a buffet at first but when my mom found them and they explained how they present their food we were sold and I could not have been happier with the way it all turned out. Sadly I was hidden away while all the bread and olive oil nonsense was happening.... someone saved me a piece thankfully ;)

Wedding Documentary

I want to thank Stonestreet Creative for making my dream come true. I contacted Stephen last August about documenting our wedding video. I knew the moment I found his website after hours and hours of searching that he would be able to put together what my mind envisioned. He knocked it out of the park. I trusted him and could tell he really understood me after only talking on the phone once before the wedding. West Virginia has limited resources for the type of creativity that I was looking for and I struck gold when finding him. I also want to thank Allie and Alex Merrill for traveling to help with a second camera for the wedding. Allie was with me in the car pulling up to the ceremony and thank goodness for that because I was freaking out with nerves and she was super calm haha. I wanted a video that I could watch and all the feelings would come rushing back to me of that exciting life changing day for Marc and I .... it's exactly what we got and I don't think I'll ever tire of watching it. I think our favorite part is Rad bending over to stretch at the very end of the ceremony... we laugh hard evertyime haha... he was such a good little brother that day.

The Dress

My wedding dress was the first thing we picked out.... the week after I was engaged. I am not indecisive and happened to be in Charleston, SC and stopped in at Maddison Row.  I knew different features that I was looking for in a dress: Lace, illusion neckline, fitted. The first dress I tried on had all of the requirements.  Anna Maier is the designer of the dress.... which didn't mean much to me besides that she is a dress genius. I only tried on one other dress just for fun that day but knew I found the one. Only a few buttons kept coming undone but that just meant I was getting hugged- ALOT. I love this dress so so so so so much and it could not have been more perfect. Now I just have to warn Marc to not be alarmed if he ever comes home to me lounging around watching Netflix in this thing... it's too beautiful to only wear once ;)
